SPARKMAN CELLARS
This week we welcome Sparkman Cellars! Their artisan handcrafted style produces powerful, well-balanced yet elegant award-winning wines. Sparkman also enjoys contributing to our community and to causes that resonate with their family, which is another way that the wine world helps make their lives rich.
Sparkman Cellars 2013 Holler Cabernet Sauvignon was named #21 on the 2016 Wine Spectator Top 100. The winery has also been named one of Wine Spectator’s Rising Stars, Wine Enthusiast’s Cult Winery and Wine & Spirits’ Top 100 Wineries in the World.
Why Kelly and Chris Sparkman start a winery? They wrote all the vision stuff like ‘Our intention is to make wines that are considered among the finest available, and that will hopefully find their way onto your table’ and such, which is true. Then they asked themselves, ‘Why don’t we just tell them what we stand for?’ So that’s where the Sparkman tagline came from: Family. Good Livin’. Damn Fine Wine. Seems like that makes sense to people. Especially when your wine is delicious and your kids are good people.
